SAWAB Foundation actively participated in the 13th Zakat Fair 2025, organized by the Centre for Zakat Management (CZM) at Aloki Convention Center, Dhaka. The event served as a significant platform for organizations and individuals dedicated to zakat management, community development, and humanitarian efforts.

SAWAB Foundation’s Objectives at the Fair:

The primary aim of SAWAB Foundation’s participation was to promote its initiatives, increase awareness of its programs, and strengthen its network within the zakat community. Key objectives included:
✅ Presenting SAWAB Foundation’s activities to potential donors and stakeholders.
✅ Encouraging zakat contributions for community development projects.
✅ Engaging with zakat management bodies and individuals for future collaborations.
✅ Distributing promotional materials to create awareness about SAWAB’s programs.

Event Highlights:

SAWAB Foundation showcased its initiatives at an 80 sq. ft. stall, alongside 15 other participating organizations. Over the course of two days, the stall attracted a significant number of visitors, including distinguished personalities from various sectors who appreciated SAWAB’s work. Notable visitors included:

Program Outcomes:

Challenges Faced:

Unfortunately, a severe storm on the last day damaged many stalls, leading to the early closure of SAWAB Foundation’s stall. Additionally:
⚠ One team member sustained injuries and required medical attention.
⚠ despite the adverse weather, CZM continued the program, but participation dropped post-storm.

Lessons Learned & Future Improvements:

Enhanced Safety Measures: Stronger stall structures and emergency protocols for unpredictable weather conditions.
Emergency Medical Services: Onsite first-aid facilities for quick response to injuries.
Visitor Tracking & Engagement: Maintaining a visitor’s notebook to record interactions for future outreach.
Innovative Fundraising Approach: Selling selected products to generate additional funds for SAWAB’s humanitarian initiatives.

Success Story: A Noteworthy Interaction:

One of the highlights of the fair was the visit of Chairman Harun of Zakat Management, who expressed great interest in SAWAB Foundation’s projects and praised the video presentation. His appreciation validated SAWAB’s impact and paved the way for future collaborations. Additionally, several visitors committed to supporting SAWAB’s projects after learning about the foundation’s work.
